Two brothers immigrated to the United States from Lisbon, Portugal in 2004, looking to be part of the American Dream. They found work in local restaurants while attending high school. While working, they took interest in expanding their cooking skills. They rapidly climbed the ladder from prep cooks to sous chefs. They worked in several restaurants and catering companies, from Brazilian Churrasqueira to classic upscale Italian dining. They were fortunate enough to work with many talented chefs, and they acquired a wide variety of techniques, from fruit carving to sous vide. Their abilities and culinary experience pushed them to start their own catering business. There are no limitations on what type of cuisine or cooking methods need to be achieved; this includes cakes and delicious desserts. Brother & Moffat cater everything from weddings to private dinners. They also specialize in healthy, calorie-minded meals designed to help people looking to lose weight or gain muscle. They work in partnership with several local gyms and with professional athletes.
They have had the privilege to partner with Sankofa Kitchen during their journey, and they are excited to see what is next for Brother and Moffat.
